Choosing the Best Diaper Bag – To Match Your Personality

diaper-bag-personalityDiaper bags are a must-have accessory when on the go with your little one. The type of diaper bag you choose depends on many factors; Are you an active person? Do you like to be prepared for anything? Are you a minimalist? Do you do day trips or overnight trips? Do you prefer to have your items stacked in your bag or laid out so you can see them all without having to dig? There are many features to consider when trying to choose the best diaper bag.

What’s Your Diaper Bag Personality?

Sounds silly, right? Your personality will be reflected in your diaper bag of choice. How you like to do things and who you are as a person need to be taken into account when comparing bags.

Below are what I believe to be some main factor to take into account when choosing the best diaper bag for you.

Prepared for Anythingitzy-ritzy-tote

Do you like to plan for all scenarios? Do you have other moms or kids coming to you when they need something while at the park or supervising a field trip? Is your diaper bag always so packed full of stuff that it might explode?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you just may be prepared for anything.

Being prepared is a great trait to have. You never have to worry about finding a snack for your child while out because you probably already have one in your bag. Did your child drop their favourite toy in a puddle? No problem, pull the back up out of your diaper bag and be on your way with minimal fuss.

The downside to being so prepared all the time is that you often run out of room in your diaper bag. Luckily there are diaper bags big enough to hold all of your essentials and then some. Just be careful, pack these bags too full, and you might have trouble carrying it around.

Here are some terrific oversized diaper bags:

  • Jujube Be Prepared
  • Skip Hop Duo Double Signature
  • Itzy Ritzy Tribe Tote
  • Carter’s City Tote

You are likely a super active parent if you spend your days out and about chasing little ones around.

Being super active can be tiring, why not be comfortable while doing it? Backpack diaper bags are trendy right now, and everyone seems to either have one or want one. Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff

Many of the diaper bags out there cross over into more than one of the categories laid out above. I have tried to list the most common and popular bags available. I hope that you have found this helpful in your search for the perfect diaper bag, or bags if that is what you choose to do.

I went through many diaper bags before I found the top 3, yes 3, that worked best for my lifestyle. I have a small, medium and a large bag that I switch out regularly depending on the outing. I use the medium for everyday use, the small is for quick errands, and the large bag is for all day trips and overnights.

Moral of the story: You can always get more than one diaper bag. So don’t stress too much over your decision, it isn’t written in stone.
